Heimerer Care, our practice for integrative health, is located in the centre of Munich just a few minutes' walk from the main station and Stachus, and your health is the focus here.
In a detailed first appointment, we take the time to analyse your complaints in detail and work together to create an individual roadmap for the subsequent therapy. We draw on an extensive pool of knowledge that is not limited to traditional physiotherapy, occupational therapy and osteopathy, but also includes ideas from sports science, fascia therapy, naturopathy and women's health - all in the spirit of integrative therapy.
We want to promote your health and well-being in the best possible way. To achieve this, we incorporate all relevant aspects of your person into the treatment. This includes not only the restoration of restricted structures, functions and activities of daily living, but also takes social and psychological components into account. By combining different therapeutic professions and related disciplines, we offer you comprehensive expertise that will strengthen you in the long term and improve your quality of life.
"Health is not everything, but without health everything is nothing."
Arthur Schopenhauer
Physiotherapy
Physiotherapy supports people of all ages who are restricted in their movement, functionality and posture. The aim is to restore, improve or maintain physical functions and therefore quality of life.
Physiotherapy works specifically with the musculoskeletal system on a functional and structural level to alleviate pain, optimise movement sequences and increase resilience. This includes strengthening the muscles, improving joint mobility, coordination and balance training. Preventive work is also carried out to avoid injuries and incorrect strain. For the periods of restriction, she advises on self-exercises and supportive measures in everyday life.
However, it also includes the treatment of neurological, internal or surgical illnesses in order to promote mobility and independence. This includes, for example, rehabilitation after operations or accidents as well as support for chronic illnesses.
Osteopathy
Osteopathy and naturopathy focus on the holistic view of the human being. It is not just about the complaints, but also about activating and strengthening the body's own self-healing powers and resources. The aim is to sustainably improve health and well-being and increase quality of life.
Osteopathy works with manual techniques on all structures of the body in order to restore their mobility, function and supply. This includes the examination and treatment of the musculoskeletal system (parietal system), the internal organs (visceral system) and the skull and nervous system (craniosacral system). It focusses on the interrelationships in the body.
Occupational therapy
Occupational therapy helps people of all ages who are restricted in their everyday activities and actions to regain, maintain or improve their abilities. The aim is to enable participation, quality of life and well-being in everyday life independently.
The focus is on everyday life with all its various activities, such as self-care, leisure activities and productivity. Emotional and social participation are also important components here.
Occupational therapy works with the musculoskeletal system on a functional and structural level in order to initiate and optimise movement sequences and fine motor skills. Furthermore, perception is trained in all sensory areas. For the period in which these areas are restricted, she advises on the use of targeted aids. Particularly when a complete cure is not possible, occupational therapy helps to understand individual limitations and learn to deal with them consciously.
However, it also includes the training of emotional, social and cognitive skills - both during development and in the case of diseases of the central nervous system. This includes, for example, restoring and improving attention, drive, concentration and memory.
Naturopathy
Naturopathy complements this approach through the use of naturopathic and complementary methods. It includes the support of patients with chronic and complex complaints as well as the promotion of the body's regulatory mechanisms. This includes, for example, extended lifestyle counselling on nutrition, exercise and sleep as well as the use of holistic pain therapy to restore inner balance.
